Take I-20 to Martintown Road. Go through
N. Aug. and get on US 1 ( Aiken/Aug. Highway) toward Aiken. Just
before you go under the US 125 bridge veer right. Take the next road
on the right, which is called Storm Branch. Travel several miles, go
straight at 4/way stop and continue on Storm Branch. You will go down a
large hill and then see an ORA Field sign on the right hand side of the
road. Turn left onto Boyd Pond Rd.
Travel approx 1-2 miles and you will see
the entrance on your left. This entrance is marked by a white metal swing
gate and railroad tie retention walls. Travel approximately 0.25 mile
until the road forks. This fork will either take you to the lower parking
lot for softball or the upper parking lot for the bike kiosk and the
observatory. We park in the lower parking lot for the softball fields
