Caleb Andrew Rowell (a strapping 6’3” left-handed pitcher/outfielder) was born on June 5, 1989 along with his twin sister, Cayla.  He began playing baseball at the age of 4.  At that time, he was more interested in the rocks in the outfield than the baseballs that rolled out there.  God has guided his journey and focus in baseball with many good coaches and godly men.  Now, Caleb has a passion for baseball and a talent for pitching.  Caleb likes to be a leader on his teams, working with younger players to develop their skills.  He is planning to play college ball next year and is praying for God’s direction in choosing the right college, coach and team.  Caleb is a senior at New Vision Christian Academy in Augusta, Georgia.  He attends Hephzibah Baptist Church and is an active part of their youth group.  In his spare time, Caleb likes to fish, work outdoors and spend time with his grandparents at their “train house” in the country.  Caleb is interested in working with youth ministries when out of college.  One of his favorite verses is James 1:12.

Caleb received an athletic scholarship to pitch at Paine College.

Marcus Anthony Maddox was born in Jackson, Mississippi on Tuesday, November the 8th 1988.  Marcus' family moved from Jackson, Mississippi to Augusta, Georgia when Marcus was just 8 months old.  His love for baseball began when Marcus was just a toddler with the infamous fat plastic bat and oversized ball.  After a few close calls with the household furniture and fixtures we found out why for a young slugger baseball is traditionally look at as game played outdoors.  Marcus started playing teeball the first year he was eligible. He played every year thereafter with several different teams with the Columbia County Recreation Department as well as Martinez / Evans Little League. He moved up from teeball to pitching machine and then on to kid pitch. Most of his little league years he played for teams coached by his Uncle "John Biggs".  Before joining the Crusaders, Marcus played with the Americans under the leadership of Coach Tripp.  Under the talented and capable skills of Coach Chileno Valdez and Todd Dickson, Marcus has advanced in both his love and knowledge of the game of Baseball.  These men and their staff not only condition their team to be the best ballplayers, but also emphasize the character necessary to be the best they can be in every facet of life.  In addition to baseball Marcus has a special talent for recording Music and enjoys playing Guitar, Bass, and Drums.  Marcus is looking forward to attending College in the fall.  He then plans to advance his skills and pursue his education in the field of Studio Recording, Sound Engineering and Audio Production.
