CSRA Crusaders earn berth in Home School World Series event

The CSRA Crusaders, a varsity baseball team comprised of home school high school students from Aiken, North Augusta, Augusta, Thomson, Ga., and Wrens, Ga., qualified to advance to the Home School Baseball World Series by go-ing 3-1 in an East Regional Tournament in Danville, Va., recently.

The Crusaders outscored three opponents by a combined score of 31-13 (15-3, 11-6, 5-4) and lost a one-run game, 7-6.

Other teams participating in the regional were from Richmond, Va., Washington, D.C., Raleigh, N.C., and Atlan-ta. While the Crusaders were playing in Virginia, three add-itional regional tournaments were being held in Texas, Tennessee and Georgia.

The World Series tournament will be held May 22-26 in Atlanta with teams traveling from Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina.

The mission of the CSRA Crusaders is to develop Godly manhood, team sportsmanship, and sound fundamental baseball players in a Christian home school environment.
