Parents and Players:

The CSRA Crusaders baseball program, originally founded by Todd Dickson and David McTier was formed to give our Homeschooled children a place to enjoy playing baseball. The program has also always been open to players that would not otherwise have the chance to play baseball.

We have stated publicly since inception that we allow players that attend private schools without baseball programs to play with us. We have only had one player in our history who attended a “Traditional Private School” play on our Varsity team He attended South Gate. We will not change that position. We will continue to play in the HWSA tournament; players that do not meet the HWSA requirements simply will not play in the HWSA tournament, but can play in all regular season games and other tournaments we attend.

We have been blessed to have the relationship we have with the Master City Little League program.

We have allowed the players from that organization to play in our program since using the Master City facilities.  Without their support, we would not have been able to field a complete J.V. or Middle School program this past year.   We do not have to schedule or beg for practice and game times. The use of the facility saves our program thousands of dollars a year. We are extremely fortunate to have the support of the Master City Little league and their families. The support from Master City is vital to our programs survival. We will continue to allow their children to play in our program.  We need their support and they need a place for there children to play baseball.

This program will always be a Homeschool program at its roots.  It will always be a place where our Homeschooled children can play baseball.

2010 Dues:  Varsity   600.00   plus cost of Varsity jerseys TBD.

J.V.        400.00 (J.V. jerseys are supplied and are property of the CSRA Crusaders).

Middle   100.00 plus cost of Middle School jersey (18.00)

Dues are to be paid in full before Feb 1st 2010.

We will have a 50.00 per player discount for families that have two or more playing. Varsity / J.V.

You will have a chance to reduce your dues for the 2010 season for the Varsity and J.V. teams by 50.00.

If you send in Intent to play information (a simple note stating that your son intends to play) with a 50.00 per player down payment, before Oct 1, 2009, you will get a matching 50.00 discount. This applies to the Varsity and J.V. only.   Middle school parents please send email or send a letter letting us know if you intend to play. This information is vital to help us with scheduling games.

Example:  Varsity dues 600.00 - 50.00 deposit (before Oct 1st) - 50.00 matching discount, balance due 500.00

                   J.V.      Dues 400.00 – 50.00 deposit (before Oct 1st) – 50.00 matching discount, balance due 300.00

Varsity Try-Outs dates will be posted on the website. Try-outs will be in Mid Oct.  The Season will officially start in early Jan.

Check website for dates.  Players not chosen to play Varsity can play J.V.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the younger programs, if you would like to get involved and help, please let us know.

Work days are not voluntary, if you intend to have your son play on one of our programs, we need your help. We have the responsibility to keep, maintain, and clean the area during the spring baseball season.

If you cannot attend the scheduled work days you will need to make them up.  We always have grass that needs mowing, etc…

Sincerely,

Mac Bryan

President, CSRA Crusaders.
